dc.description.abstractSince 2006 all passengers using air travel in the EU have to comply to new flight safety regulations, which include liquid restrictions for all carry-on baggage. While lawmakers may perceive these measures as an effective way to reduce the threat of terrorism, air travellers from not only the EU, but also all around the globe experience inconveniences prior to boarding their aircrafts. In some cases these restrictions can lead to flight delay, which in turn leads to frustration. Ever since the introduction of these new regulations there have come various solutions. Many new products have been offered to passengers in order to proceed to their flights safely, conveniently and without delay. However, whether or not the functionality and aesthetical value of these new products fulfil their needs and expectations to a satisfactory level remains to be determined.
