My thesis is about using the business process modeling notation tools to evaluate warehouse management processes and compare two types of warehouse management systems which were used in a logistics company in Liege/Belgium. The thesis is basically structured by explaining the business process management and business process modeling theory and elaborating the typical processes used in a warehouse. Then A real life case study is explained in the third chapter about a company that previously used an old fashioned warehouse management system (WMS) and decided to replace it with a new real-time based WMS. The BPMN diagrams were used to model each process of the warehouse before and after the new WMS and finally a gap analysis is conducted to highlight the inefficiencies that were neutralized with the WMS.-
