Abstract: The changing context of health care organisations brings a lot of challenges in the health care sector. On the one hand there is an increasing demand for more and better health care services, on the other hand financial and medical staff resources are limited, the latter is even expected to be shrinking. Besides there will be a demand for new kinds of medical services. This growing problem can only be resolved by being creative. The magic word here is 'innovation'. In the following framework new ideas, both financial and non-financial, are developed that could give solace for the above formulated problem
