Abstract: The goal of this thesis is to clarify the key antecedents or key success factors (KSF) that boost the incredible success of firms from emerging economies. One of those variables is the role of institutions in the host country which will be analyze as well. The exploration of internationalization process is significantly focused on firms from developed economies and there has been a flurry of research on it during the last decade. However, there is a smaller amount of research about the internationalization process of firms from emerging economies. This research gap, and the need to illuminate the factors that influence their performance, motivate this master thesis.
