Abstract: The project, "The Living Ornament" is an experimental series of sculptural objetcs based on the interchange and compatibility between the traditional style of Troyan ceramics and the notion of contemporary sculpture. Its object is to reflect and find new forms of combination and interpreation of the traditioanl ceramic crafts and technology within the field of contemporary sculpture.

Research Context: The artistic research pursues to recreate the Troyan ceramics in the image of contemporary sculpture. Its objective is to enable continuity and preservation of an established ceramic craft and through interchange with the object of sculpture to evoke new aesthetical interpretation within the Troyan ceramic school and contemporary sculpture.
Impact Description: The impact of this project is triune: preservation of an authentic European ceramic craft, continuity of its legacy and the development and innovation of its technology for the purpose of contemporary sculpture.
