Title: retail design and adaptive reuse

Abstract: for a group of architects I gave a work-shop around how to converse old buildings (in city centers) to retail environments. Specially for this session a complete design was create for an existing building in Brugge. The design and its proces formed the focus of the talk.

Research Context: During the last decade research in retail design has been given quite some attention within the University. Both from the faculty of marketing as from the faculty of architecture and art. Research coming from both disciplines had been joined together to come to new design insights. These insights were translated into the design which was presented.
