Title: Experience? Musea in the Experience Economy

Abstract: FARO (www.faronet.be) asked me to contribute to an event that was set up because of the launch of a new book which they edited, that is, 'Het Museum van het Gevoel. Musea op de huid van de samenleving'. In my key note, I elaborated about the concept of 'experience'. Based on insights originating in retail design and creative industries, I discussed what kinds of repercussions 'experience thinking' can have for musea.

Research Context: FARO invited me for a lecture in the framework of a study event where stakeholders active in the cultural domain (e.g., musea, other cultural institutions) in Flanders were present. Flemish minister Sven Gatz also contributed to the study event, and received the first copy of the book that was presented to 'the market' on December 2, 2016.
