The Faculty of Architecture and Arts of Hasselt University asked 21 students to design a “Multisensory Experience Park”. In the studio CARE they focused on the question: How can architecture contribute to multisensory experiences for all? The program focused on an architectural design of care and recreation more precisely a theme park where everyone can go to and experience unexpected environments. Lying in bed, riding a horse, hopping without sight or pregnant with a buggy…all visitors are welcome and the experience park wants to support the dreams and wishes of people as if they feel like a king or a queen that day. During the week of Universal Design an exhibition was held of a selection of the outcome of this design excercise. The exhibition took place at Sint-Gerardus, Diepenbeek from October 10th until October 26th 2016.-

arts.review.researchContextThe exhibition outlines the output of a "Research by design" excercise on multisensory experience parks. The exhibition invites the visitor to experience him/herself how you can create an experience park without stigma's-
arts.review.impactDescriptionWe don't have actual numbers of visitors but the exhibition took place inside the school for children with disabilities. Therefore, we hope and think that many people who coincidently or consciously passed by had the opportunity to visit the exhibition. Also children who go to school were invited to visit the exhibition. Two architecture students of the Faculty of Architecture and Arts gave a lecture to the students of the school.-
