Abstract: This master thesis is part of the master of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy at the University of Hasselt. The literature study fits in the Research Department of the Rehabilitation of Internal Disorders. This literature study provides an overview of the several different techniques of respiratory physiotherapy used in the Intensive Care Unit. The available evidence of these techniques in the population of critically ill patients will be looked at in detail.
