Abstract: This master thesis fits in the domain of musculoskeletal rehabilitation. The aim of this master thesis is to explore and use a new research method (Three dimensional Ultrasound), and moreover to investigate its reliability to measure muscle volume. This master thesis constitutes part two of the research design and is executed as a part of the second master year at the UHasselt in Diepenbeek, more specifically at the rehabilitation research center REVAL of UHasselt. This master thesis is part of a larger research project that fits in research concerning various muscle characteristics and is performed under the supervision of dr. Anouk Agten, Prof. dr. Frank Vandenabeele and Mr. Sjoerd Stevens.
