Title: Mastermakers
Contributors/Performers: HUYCKE, David
Issue Date: 2019
Abstract: MASTERMAKERS is an exhibition of leading international and national artists and craftspeople who have delivered masterclasses in the Gold & Silversmithing Studio of the RMIT School of Art over the past 20 years. The exhibition is to be held at RMIT Gallery from 6th September to 9th November 2019. At the core of the exhibition is the desire to demonstrate the impact that these masterclasses have had on the training of gold and silversmiths in Australia, as well as record the cultural, artistic and technical shift in contemporary jewellery and object over the last 20 years. As such, it is also intended that MasterMakers will include work by selected artists who participated in these masterclasses. Contribution of David Huycke to this exhibition was the object 'Kissing Bowls' 2006
