Abstract: "Dark Moon" is a monolithic, spherical object, with on top, but off center, thousands of fine silver balls creating a perfect circle, referring to the dark side of the moon. Using the technique of decorative granulation, granules are heat-fused to the sub-surface in a closed, space filling structure, dictated by self-organization, which grows out of the work-process and go into dialogue with the simple architecture of the work.
