The exhibition consists of the books of the project, wooden letters, 47 panels displaying the entire 'Phonotype' alphabet. Dr. Ann Bessemans. Walda Verbaenen designed this typographical project based on her interest in language and the importance of language in communication and integration. It tries to bring the phonology (sound) of a language into the textimage, and shows this way the visual identity of a language through typography. This project forms the basis of her PhD, started on 1/1/2020.
