Abstract: The social mixing and seroprevalence surveys were conducted in a rural area of the Democratic Republic of Congo, with the aim of evaluating factors influencing the reported number of contacts, and understanding social contact patterns, relevant to the transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in the rural Sub-Saharan area. Through these objectives, the comparison will be made for two waves when different restriction measures were implemented, in order to assess the relationship between restriction measures and changes in mixing patterns for rural Sub-Saharan population.
