Title: Ornamutations
Contributors/Performers: SWILLEN, Anneleen
Issue Date: 2022
Abstract: An artistic translation of the Ornamutations (generated in collab with 124 jewellery artists and artificial intelligence) into augmented reality filters that can be worn and interacted with digitally. The filters are created in collab with Guus Vandeweerd, student PXL-MAD School of Arts and research intern Artificial Intelligems 2022 - 2023. The creation of these filters is part of our contribution to Ponton magazine (see other entry).

Discipline: multidisciplinair
Research Context: Artificial Intelligems created a phygital piece to engage with their Ornamutations, encouraging intra-actions (Karen Barad) between bodies, images, matters, surfaces, realities and intelligences. The digital ornaments can be worn through augmented reality, creating hybrid bodies. Artificial Intelligems aims to explore novel ways to co-create, present and interact with adornment, while questioning how images and bodies relate and what tactility can mean within digital media. Rather than considering presenting as a way to show final, and fixed, results, we opt for encounters in which making, communicating, and reflecting are intertwined.
