| arts.review.researchContext | The majority of the work was created during a three-month artist residency at the DIVA Museum in Antwerp (BE), which took place in 2024. It contains a series of objects made from oyster shells and a figure of the Virgin Mary. All objects are artefacts for a fictitious origin story for the Flemish heart (a key piece of the DIVA museum's collection). Presented as an installation, the series explores the power of museums as agents of cultural memory and the power of objects as evidence of memories. Within my study, the group falls into the category of objects based on memory-related deviation. | - |
