Abstract: Computational Models and Datasets for Burn Injury Healing This deposit contains the source code, environment configurations, and simulation datasets supporting the manuscript: "Nondimensionalization, Variational Inequalities and Uncertainty Quantification in a Morphoelastic Model for Burn Injury Healing". How to Use This Deposit To make this archive accessible, the contents are split into two separate components: code_and_scripts.zip (Lightweight, ~few KB): Contains the core 1D FEniCSx finite element model implementation, plotting scripts, package dependency files (environment.yml, pyproject.toml), and a detailed README. Use this if you only want to inspect the mathematical formulation, verify the numerical methods, or run a dry-test of the simulation code. simulation_data.zip (Large Archive, extracted ~3.2 GB): Contains the complete, aggregated CSV datasets generated via numerical simulations on an HPC cluster. This data is required to fully execute the plotting scripts and reproduce the figures presented in the paper. Quick Replication Instructions If you wish to reproduce the figures and paper plots locally: Download both code_and_scripts.zip and simulation_data.zip. Extract their contents into the same root folder so that the burn_injuries/ code directory and the data/ directory sit side-by-side. Follow the installation and execution steps detailed in the root README.md file found within the code archive. Repository Structure Overview burn_injuries/core/ – Main FEniCSx implementation of the reaction-diffusion-mechanics model. burn_injuries/analysis/ – Convergence, sensitivity studies, and figure-plotting scripts. burn_injuries/examples/ – Ready-to-run 1D simulation example. data/ – Aggregated CSV simulation results corresponding to the paper's figures.
