Abstract: Introduction: Left bundle branch block (LBBB) causes early septal and late lateral LV activation, so the septum shortens against low pressure while the lateral wall shortens against higher pressure. This loading asymmetry is hypothesized to drive compensatory remodeling (septal thinning, lateral thickening) to rebalance wall stresses, but empirical measurements during chronic LBBB are limited.
