Abstract: A biomass Energy Conversion Park(biomass ECP)is a synergetic multi-dimensional biomass conversion site consisting of a highly integrated set of conversion technologies in which a multitude of regionally available biomass(residue) sources are converted into energy and materials. Objectives: Demonstrate the economic advantage(feasibility) of an integrated/synergetic utilization of locally available unexploited biomass residues taking into account social as well as environmental preconditions / Development of 5 biomassECP concepts as pilots in the South of the Netherlands and Flanders(Belgium). Technical feasibility, preliminary design and business case. / Development of a knwoledge platform to help further initiatives. Important background data. Optimal approach, taking into account local conditions. Learning process from the first 5 pilots. / Further dissemination of the biomass ECP Concept.
