A broad range of different techniques is available to remediate or contain contaminated groundwater. A cost effectiveness analysis is an economic tools that supports the selection of the remediation technique to apply. This paper presents two ways in which a cost effectiveness analysis can be performed, providing a link to cost benefit analysis. It also demonstrated that for those who have to implement a remediation technique it is important to know how reported results are determined.-
