Issue Date: | 2013 | Publisher: | UHasselt | Abstract: | The unsustainable use of solid fuels such as wood, leads, mostly in developing countries, to local deforestation and health problems which has serious consequences for local populations. A switch to nontraditional cookstoves such as solar cookers, can help solving these problems. Yet, numerous projects disseminating these nontraditional cookstoves failed because users didn't accept the new technologies. Therefore, this study proposes a framework to better understand product-specific preferences users have. This will help increasing users acceptance.
