dc.description.abstract | In order to bridge the gap between the level of our incoming students and the exit level required by the labour market, we have introduced a new teaching model. Based upon a study of learning strategies, we attempt to incorporate the current technological possibilities in the best possible way. We have therefore developed an authoring system which enables language teachers, who are no computer specialists, to easily create flexible electronic multimedia modules for LSP learning integrating cultural awareness raising. This model combines autonomous learning with face-to-face sessions: semi-autonomous blended learning. In view of the needs and challenges posed within our own institutional context (i.e. the Faculty of Business Economics) we have included some content in the authoring system, which is based upon a thorough international needs analysis among the target group with respect to their professional careers. | - |
