dc.description.abstractOm de gerechtelijke achterstand te verminderen is het nodig om de determinanten van de vraag naar en het aanbod van rechterlijke uitspraken te kennen. Deze bijdrage focust op de determinanten van de vraag en meer speciek op de invloed van de financiële, geografische en informationele toegankelijkheid van Justitie op de instroom van burgerlijke zaken. Uit empirische testen voor 25 landen blijkt dat vooral een vermindering van het aantal rechtbanken en een verhoging van de rechtsbijstand de instroom van rechtszaken verhogen.-
