Exercises of the ~man (IIIII) - found dialogues whispered to drying paint

Abstract

An exhibition and presentation of a new in-situ work constructed in the Design Hub in Melbourne for the Situation symposium at RMIT (August 2014). The work consisted of an intense working period of several months which resulted in a series of films, photographs, texts that were collected and ordered in the form of a book (which was also exhibited as an artefact in the exhibition). The project was a collaboration with Alis Garlick (Undergraduate student at RMIT) (SITUATION exhibition, July 23 to August 3 2014 Project Rooms 1 and 2, RMIT Design Hub, Melbourne, Australia SITUATION exhibition curatorium: Suzie Attiwill, Interior Design, RMIT University; Simon Maidment, Curator of Contemporary Art, National Gallery of Victoria; Kate Rhodes, Curator of Design, Design Hub, RMIT University; and Sven Mehzoud, Interior Architecture, Monash University. All submissions - papers and exhibition works - were double blind peer reviewed. The exhibition submissions underwent a second process of selection where the curatorium reviewed the peer reviews and made a final selection of works to be exhibited.)
