Discipline: design en architectuur
Research Context: The research project is commissioned by a series of actors: the Province of Limburg, DUBO Limburg, the municipality of Wellen, and the municipality of Kortessem. All struggle with the economic, social and ecologic challenges related to ribbon development. The project developed a series of transition strategies relying on studio work from students of architecture. These studios always involved local actors such as policy makers, citizens and expert organisations.
Impact Description: The project resulted in two reports, an application (http://dubolimburg.be/verlinting-van-het-landschap/de-verlinting-applicatie/), a series of workshops for local authorities and a workshop for the transition arena of DUBO Vlaanderen.
