Issue Date: | 2015 | Abstract: | In this work, the Continuous Time Random Walk (CTRW) technique has been applied to simulate both free and anomalous diffusion. This framework offers a straightforward recipe to simulate both free and anomalous diffusion. By means of exponentially distributed waiting times, which have a finite expectation value, free diffusion is simulated. When the waiting time distribution does not have a finite expectation value, anomalous diffusion is obtained.... | Document URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/1942/21138 | Category: | T1 | Type: | Theses and Dissertations |
