Abstract: In this work, the Continuous Time Random Walk (CTRW) technique has been applied to simulate both free and anomalous diffusion. This framework offers a straightforward recipe to simulate both free and anomalous diffusion. By means of exponentially distributed waiting times, which have a finite expectation value, free diffusion is simulated.
