Abstract: Blue light-emitting poly(p-phenylene vinylene) (PPV) derivatives were prepared by use of the precursor "sulphinyl route" developed within our group a few years ago. These polymers have a maximum PL absorption at 447 or 468 nm depending on the film preparation. These polymers were tested in light-emitting diodes. The results are discussed.
