dc.description.abstract | Child development is known to be influenced by interpersonal relationships within the family. Parents are the foundation of that family structure and they have the ability to shape and modify their child’s safe behavior in traffic. As a result, using parents in education and promotion might be a fruitful strategy to increase traffic safety. However, the effectiveness of increasing parental involvement is dependent on several critical conditions. Parents should guide their child in a correct way, they should set a good example by behaving appropriately in traffic themselves and the underlying motivation of children should be taken into account. | - |
