Abstract: A model for a Brownian particle is introduced which shows multiple current reversals in response to an external static force, i.e. the average particle velocity reverses its direction several times upon continuously increasing or decreasing the external force. The model is studied analytically, and the physical mechanism behind the current reversals is discussed.
