Abstract: The Institute for Materials Research (IMO-IMOMEC) is a joint research centre of Hasselt University and Imec, with a vast knowledge in the field of materials science. The inorganic and physical chemistry group (IPC) operates within the Institute for Materials Research, combining fundamental (UHasselt-IMO) and applied (IMEC-IMOMEC) research in the field of inorganic nanomaterials. The group has expertise in the solution based synthesis and deposition of metal oxides, notably in: • Synthesis of entirely water based precursor solutions for multimetal oxides • Precursor characterization • Nanoparticle synthesis and dispersion • Nanoparticle characterization • Oxide film deposition • Preparation of oxide nanopatterns • Functional oxides for applications ranging from microelectronics, energy harvesting and storage, to (bio)medicin To demonstrate these various research aspects, selected examples of previous work will be covered during this presentation.
