Abstract: This article summarizes the current research on the benefits of using the transradial approach for percutaneous procedures and the radial artery as a conduit for coronary artery bypass surgery. Based on the available evidence, the authors provide recommendations for the use of the radial artery in patients undergoing percutaneous or surgical coronary procedures.
