Abstract: The debate on energy and sustainability is of main interest. Special attention and priority is given to reduce the emission of greenhouse gasses (GHG) at the Lima conference in 2014. In particular to avoid CO2 emission (released by using fossil fuels) as this emission is an important aspect in the global warming. The building sector, both public and private buildings, is the largest energy end-user. It is obvious clear that besides a reduction of energy also energy efficiency as well as energy flexibility will be needed to be successful. One is only interested to perform sustainable investments if the cost reductions can be guaranteed. So together with new technologies also new business models must be developed. In addition the alternatives needed to be faith full and of high quality. Besides energy and environmental aspects also Non Energy Benefits (NEB) are generated so it involves a need to discuss and determine values and visions. The university college PXL is recently started with an interdisciplinary postgraduate EES Energy Efficiency Services including three modules: iterative output driven energy efficiency services, project cycle costs (new business models) and aspects of in- and external communication. There is a mixed partnership of public and private stakeholders.
