The presentation described the transition towards an enhanced version of the Flemish Research Information System (FRIS 2.0), where special emphasis has been made on semantic interoperability with its data providers at institutions. The data and classification governance structure set up for the purpose is presented. An update is finally provided on the progress in the definition of a harmonized research data management practice across universities in Flanders.-
