dc.description.abstract | The identifiability of two-state excited-state processes is studied when transient effects are present. When the emission bands of the excited species are well separated, the deactivation rate constants of the two excited species to their respective ground states, k(01) and k(02), can be determined from two decay traces of the individual excited species at one concentration. Thus, two decay traces are sufficient for the recovery of k(01) and k(02) for inter- and intra-molecular two-state excited-state processes. When transient effects are absent more kinetic information is needed for the recovery of k(01) and k(02). | - |
