Something that will have a lasting influence beyond the everpresent effects of design and architecture. Each year, the esteemed panel of judges selects the outstanding ideas and implementations in the categories of architectural design, product design, universal design, and responsive design. More info: https://designeducates.com/portfolio/phonotype/ Phonotype was developed by Walda Verbaenen in 2019 as a typographic master project at the international master course "Reading Type and Typography" at READSEARCH, PXL-MAD School of Arts in Hasselt, under the guidance of prof. Dr. Ann Bessemans. Walda Verbaenen designed this typographical project based on her interest in language and the importance of language in communication and integration. It tries to bring the phonology (sound) of a language into the textimage, and shows the visual identity of a language through typography. This project forms the basis of her PhD, started on 1/1/2020.
