Abstract: Many people with care needs are prevented to participate in travel and tourism activities because of limitations imposed by the design of the built environment. Increasing the Universal Design qualities of hotel accommodations is one way to support the ambitions of accessible tourism. In this proposal, we describe an interactive workshop in which participants co-create a Universal Design hotel room, based on their own experiences, together with user-experts and other stakeholders.
