Title: | Investigation of the CVD diamond intermediate layer steel interface | Authors: | NESLADEK, Milos Asinari, C. SPINNEWYN, J LEBOUT, R LORENT, R D'OLIESLAEGER, Marc |
Issue Date: | 1994 | Publisher: | ELSEVIER SCIENCE SA LAUSANNE | Source: | DIAMOND AND RELATED MATERIALS, 3(4-6). p. 912-916 | Abstract: | An intermediate multilayer structure, based on refractory metals and silver, is used to improve the adhesion of CVD diamond to steel substrates. The diffusion process and recrystallization of the multilayer structure during the diamond deposition and a further thermal annealing are studied by means of secondary ion mass spectrometry, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The stress in the diamond film is investigated by Raman analysis and the adhesion of diamond films to the substrate is examined by indentation tests. | Notes: | DIAMANT BOART SA,B-1190 BRUSSELS,BELGIUM.NESLADEK, M, LIMBURGS UNIV CENTRUM,DIV MAT PHYS,INST MAT RES,WETENSCHAPSPK,B-3590 DIEPENBEEK,BELGIUM. | Document URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/1942/3689 | ISI #: | A1994NN16000125 | Type: | Journal Contribution |
