Title: | Preparation and thermal-decomposition of Cu2(OH)3NO3 | Authors: | SCHILDERMANS, Inge MULLENS, Jules VANDERVEKEN, BJ YPERMAN, Jan FRANCO, Dirk VAN POUCKE, Lucien |
Issue Date: | 1993 | Publisher: | ELSEVIER SCIENCE BV | Source: | THERMOCHIMICA ACTA, 224. p. 227-232 | Abstract: | The decomposition of basic copper nitrate is studied using TG-FTIR. The product is decomposed between 160 and 235-degrees-C at a heating rate of 10-degrees-C min-1. The solid residue is CuO and the gases evolved during decomposition are HNO3, H2O, NO2 and O2. Decomposition seems to occur in one step. | Notes: | LIMBURGS UNIV CENTRUM,INORGAN & PHYS CHEM LAB,B-3590 DIEPENBEEK,BELGIUM.
