Long COVID is a prevalent condition with many multisystemic symptoms, such as fatigue, dyspnoea, muscle weakness, anxiety, depression and sleep difficulties, impacting daily life and (social and physical) functioning. Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) may improve physical status and symptoms of patients with long COVID, yet the evidence is limited. Therefore, this trial aims to study the effect of primary care PR on exercise capacity, symptoms, physical activity and sleep in patients with long COVID.-
Acknowledgements A special thank goes to KCE for funding the trial, the patients, all local investigators, participating pneumologists, administrative and research personnel, lung function technicians, students, TMG and TSC members and others who contribute to the PuRe- COVID trial for their efforts. Funding This study (KCE21- 1294) is an independent research study funded by the Belgian Health Care Knowledge Centre under the KCE Trials Programme. The views expressed in this publication are those of the author(s) and not necessarily those of Belgian Health Care Knowledge Centre.-
