The presence of a data coach, providing human support, proves pivotal in steering school teams through data-driven decision-making (DBDM). This review explores the role of data coaches in twenty cases (2005-2021) where schoolteams received support regarding DBDM. Findings reveal diverse profiles and tasks, emphasizing adaptability to contextual demands. Educational implications stress customized professionalization, an adaptive coaching model, and collaborative learning.
