dc.description.abstractIn deze bijdrage van het themanummer 'Sport en de EU' staat het Royal Antwerp Football Club-arrest centraal, waar-in de zogeheten home-grown players-regels (HGP-regels) van UEFA en de Koninklijke Belgische Voetbalbond (KBVB) werden getoetst aan de Europese mededingings-en vrij verkeersregels. Deze bijdrage beoogt dit arrest te contextuali-seren, te analyseren en handvaten te bieden over de mogelijke toekomst van HGP-regels in het professionele voetbal.-
