This thesis explores the application potential of membrane assisted liquid-liquid extraction by evaluating its economic feasibility across three distinct case studies. These cases span different industries and serve various purposes, allowing for a comprehensive assessment of membrane extraction’s viability compared to traditional separation processes, by considering the whole production processes. The study aims to establish membrane development targets and contribute to advancing this technology for industrial applications, by developing an approach to assess the technical and economic feasibility of a membrane extraction process.-
