In her PhD research, “Acts of Deviation: Artistic Reflections on Memory and Identity in Connection with Jewellery”, Maria Konschake starts from the assumption that objects are carriers of memories and explores deviation as an artistic strategy. In doing so, she attempts to analyse it in such a way that it can be used to create art objects that encourage reflection on the relationship between jewellery, identity and memory. Konschake is particularly interested in memory-related deviations, as she sees memories as unpredictable and fleeting. In her study, she deals not only with personal, but also with cultural memory.-
