| dc.description.abstract | Meeting current challenges in cardiovascular medicine requires a more holistic and multidisciplinary approach including the integration of critical contributions from allied professionals representing a wide range of disciplines and areas of expertise. • Allied professionals should share best practice models in providing multidisciplinary care to improve patient outcomes and be involved in the integration of best medical therapy and research findings within clinical practice. • Strategies to enhance the implementation of multidisciplinary collaborations in cardiovascular care could include the development of shared pathways with clearly defined roles and responsibilities, improved understanding of the skills and knowledge of allied professionals, and better organizational structures and communication platforms. | - |
