The primary objective of this thesis is to study and optimise the light powered catalytic conversion of carbon dioxide to methane (Sabatier reaction) using plasmonic Ru-based catalysts, focusing on гnderstanding and leveraging both thermal and non-thermal contributions to plasmon photocatalysis. This goal is pursued through a multidisciplinary approach integrating precise synthesis, optical characterisation, and targeted catalysis experiments combined with in operando temperature monitoring.-
