We read with great interest this review on reservoir placement (RP) and surgical considerations in inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) implantation by Anderson et al. [1]. The authors provide a comprehensive overview of the evolution of reservoir design, traditional and ectopic placement techniques, and their clinical implications. This synthesis is timely and valuable, given the continuing refinements in device engineering and surgical practice that shape outcomes in prosthetic urology. We commend the authors for highlighting how innovations in reservoir design and operative technique have reduced complications and expanded surgical options. At the same time, we would like to expand upon several aspects of the review, drawing on our own surgical experience and the growing international body of literature in this field. Specifically, we emphasize the advantages of single-incision approaches, the importance of anatomical and surgical training and the global scope of RP innovations.-
