Onderzoek armoede en psychiatrie

Abstract

The objective of this research is to gain an insight into the relationship between poverty and psychiatry. The research is oriented to get an inside in the role that poverty plays in the process of inflow, flow and outflow out of psychiatry . This happens by means of an exploratory-study based on the case-study "Openbaar Psychiatrisch Zorgcentrum Rekem", which analyses the mechanisme that defines the relationship between poverty and psychiatry. During this exploratory-study a simular research with a number of psychiatric institutions in Flanders, will be initiated.
