Abstract: This paper describes a study of the influence of a destination's parking situation on car drivers' departure time choice. Three parking attributes are investigated in more detail: parking occupancy rate, parking tariff, and walking distance between parking and final destination. The descriptive analysis shows that the departure time of at least half of the car drivers is influenced by the investigated attributes. The model analysis shows that respondents tend not to adapt their departure time due to the parking attributes. In addition, it appears that both personal and trip characteristics influence the probability of adapting the departure time significantly. (C) 2017 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.
