Issue Date: | 2014 | Source: | Engineering of Functional Interfaces (EnFI 2014), Aachen, Germany, 14-15/07/2014 | Abstract: | Organic light emitting diodes (OLED) are promising to be the next generation in lighting with a wide range of applications. When applied on a non-transparent substrate the OLED has to be top emitting through a transparent top electrode. For this electrode the use of a thin semi-transparent metal layer or a metal grid embedded in PEDOT:PSS could be suggested. This report shows that the latter has a higher transmittance and conductivity. The metal grids are ink jetted on the substrate. This non-contact deposition technique is well suited for maskless patterning and roll to roll production. | Keywords: | OLED; ITO-free electrodes; metal grids; transparent electrodes; printed electronics | Document URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/1942/25128 | Rights: | The authors would like to thank the research and funding partners of the CORNET project POLEOT (IWTTETRA 120629) and the INTERREG project ORGANEXT. | Category: | C2 | Type: | Conference Material |
