Abstract: This study investigates the employment support programmes with a focus on how professionals make meaning of their interventions. Research into the experiences of employees with disabilities has demonstrated that such meaning influences the day-to-day implementation by employment support programmes practitioners and thus their effectiveness in the short and long term, both in terms of empowerment of the clients and labour market inclusion.
